New Deal for Disabled People is an important part of the Government's welfare to Work agenda. It aims to identify innovative ways of helping people on incapacity benefits to move out of economic inactivity and into lasting employment.

The aim of NDDP is to provide a service to employers and disabled employees to ensure success in seeking and maintaining employment. We also aim to do this by:-
- Providing advice to employers on the benefits of employing disabled people.
- Providing advice and information on employment law and disability law.
- Providing support to employers and disabled employees to ensure sustained employment .
- Offering an on-going liaison service with employers.
- Acting as an employment agency between employers and disabled people.
- Limited initial hands-on support where appropriate.
